Integrated Researcher responsible for the Nursing platform

Degree in Nursing, Master’s in Education Administration and Management, Specialist in Community Nursing and Public Health, and PhD in Nursing from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Currently, he is an Associate Professor, Adjunct Director at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, and Director of the Nursing School (Porto) at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. An Integrated Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Health Research Center at the same university, he is responsible for the Nursing platform and coordinates the Wounds Research Lab (WRL). He is also a Senior Fellow Researcher at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and currently the President of the Portuguese Association for Wound Treatment (APTFeridas) and a member of several international scientific societies.
He is involved in the implementation of national and international intervention projects with a particular interest in tissue viability and the development of new medical devices. He is currently leading several funded projects, mainly associated with technological innovation and AI in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic wounds and health promotion.
